Saturday:
Field event day at the NECAA Indoor champs showcased many talented North East Athletes, and there were 2 Championship bests recorded on the day by Joseph Sawyer (Darlington Harriers) in the U13B High Jump with a 1.45m clearance, and Jack Halpin (Gateshead Harriers) in the U13 Boys Shot Putt with a 10.67m throw. There were also grade 1 winning performances from Hannah Pringle (Gateshead Harriers), David Todd (Chester-le-Street), Alan Toward (unattached), Jack Colmer (Tynedale Harriers) and Ellie Morris (Blyth Running Club)
Sunday:
Sunday was all about sprints and hurdles, with Jason Nicholson (Gateshead Harriers) demonstrating his talent with a championship best performance in the U20 60m hurdles. Despite running 8.28m, he was just beaten across the line by Masters athlete Liam Collins. Other standout performers taking gold with grade 1 performances were Joy Eze (Gateshead Harriers), Kyle Walton (Shildon), Jazmine Moss (Gateshead Harriers) and William Curtis (Gateshead Harriers)
